Handwriting Interventions Video

This video demonstrates three handwriting intervention strategies that can be used on a six-year-old with handwriting difficulties. Proper seating posture with child sitting up straight with their feet on the floor places them in the optimal writing position. Pencil grips are used to encourage a tripod grasp, which results in decreased fatigue and increased control over the pencil. Finger spacing can be used to correct spacing problems between letters or words. In this video a finger is placed directly after each word to ensure the child leaves enough space between each word to ensure the words do not run together.
